Dear April 2019,

April, oh April, you are my favorite month and you know why! You are filled with beautiful weather, my babies first birthday, and oh yeah… My 34th birthday this year. We had so much fun closing up spring soccer and taking a break from the busy spring sports season. BUT, most importantly April brought gratitude. We are so thankful for Easter – He has risen indeed!

May, I can already tell that you are going to fly by! Looking forward to the end of school and the beginning of summer break. NOT looking forward to the scorching heat around the corner, but oh well, bring on the summer!

Our Month In 9 Squares – March 2019

Dear March 2019,

Spring is in the air & we definitely had an extra SPRING in our step through spring-break! March brought on a month of adventures. From a trip to the mountains and throwing snowballs to a getaway in the Sedona red rocks. But, the true beauty of the month was being able to slow it down and sleep in without rushing off to school. Did I mention I love spring break??!! We spent most of the month focusing in on family, it was so refreshing. We also celebrated Payton’s 4th Birthday with an Elsa-themed Birthday party and we indulged on the most adorable cake ever!

April you are bringing another month of celebrations, so what are we waiting for… Let’s party!!!

Disneyland, Wow! Where do I begin? Everything about Disney is dreamy and we fell in love with the magic of it all.
We had been planning an all-out trip to Disney for years now and it did not disappoint! I wanted to share all of my favorite photos and ALL.THE.THINGS. we did, saw and ate because truth be told, we had the best time. And I also wanted to document it all for my forever memories, it was by far the best family trip to date.

We knew we wanted to visit Disneyland in February because LOVE is in the air at the park and this AZ girl loves cold weather! The weather was chilly and the crowds were smaller, both wins in my book! Continue Reading

Our Month In 9 Squares – November 2018

Dear November 2018,

What a great month!

You were a month filled with gratefulness, thankfulness, and the reminder of kindness. November, we filled you up with great moments and treasured times… Mainly Kensie’s first cross-country adventure and our hubby/wife trip to Washington D.C. DC was beyond words – FABULOUS! We also celebrated daddy’s birthday, Thanksgiving, our first girl-only STAYcation slumber party and Christmas came early this year with decorating the house and setting up the tree.

November you were good to us, but we are so excited for Christmas and the holiday month of December! Bring on Jesus’ BIRTHDAY!!!

Recent Reads

Over the last few months I’ve been blessed with more time to read due to cuddling a newborn! I decided to soak up some of our snuggles with tunes on in the background (John Mayer + James Morrison on Pandora) and cozying up with a good book. And in doing so, I have been blessed greatly by quiet time and books that have taken me along for journeys, life stories, laughter, tears and adventures.

Our Month In 9 Squares – May 2018

Dear May 2018,

May, Where did you go? Half of the month I spent thinking it was still April, blame it on the newborn sleep deprivation, haha! In all seriousness, it flew by. We spent the month watching our little babe eat and sleep her way through each day. Although we’re all sleep deprived, she has been the biggest blessing to our family – totally worth it! We also watched our oldest graduate up to first grade. How can kindergarten be over, que mom tears!

With June upon us, we’ll do as we always do this time of year… duck out of the AZ heat as much as possible. And of course making memories every second that we can! Gotta love summer vacation!

Our Month In 9 Squares – February 2018

Dear February 2018,

February 2018, you did not disappoint in the LOVE department, it definitely was a red and pink-filled 28 days! It was a month filled with family time and of course lots of sweets! Let’s just face it, little girls just love everything Valentines! The girls had their first father daughter dance, and it was beyond adorable. The weather got the love memo as well, and has been dreamy and chilly – my favorite! We were able to take a family trip to the mountains for some much needed bundled-up family time. And now as we enter March we have a 3 year old birthday to celebrate and just a few weeks to-go before baby #3 joins the party! So much to look forward to!

This book is ALL THE THINGS!!!

Big Little Lies is filled with friendship and laughter, touching moments, twists, murder and a dramatic ending… after all isn’t that what you want out of a good fiction book? When you read this book you will understand why it is on the New York Times Bestseller list and why it was turned into a tv show. To be honest, I heard about the tv show before I read this book and that sparked me to read the book first, and I am so glad I did!
