Today is Day 1 • January 2016 has arrived!!! I am so excited to see what this new year has in store. My goals for the year are to: continue making magical memories with my girls, spend more quality time with my amazing hubby and work on making me … a better me … spiritually, physically, mentally & emotionally! What a blessing to wake up every morning with His mercy’s new.
My walk with the Lord is the most important thing to me, so why does it always take the backseat when life gets busy? I find myself making excuses, instead of letting God direct my day. I have noticed that when I’m not in the word, I am not the best wife, mom, friend, sister or daughter that God has created me to be. Knowing that about myself, I decided to make it a point to give God my quiet-time in the mornings, while the girls are sleeping. What I have noticed since doing so, is that life is so much better with God on the forefront of my mind. I am more patient with my girls, more eager to serve others and I seem to be more productive with my time. Through this journey I have found that the best way to dive into His word is with the assistance of a great devotional.
