What do you do with all of your leftover Halloween candy… ???
…Make candy-bars, candy-cookies or candy-pies… OF COURSE!
All you need is 1-2 cups of a mixture of your favorite leftover chocolate Halloween candies. This is a smart way of using up the leftover candy in a delicious sweet recipe, so that your candy doesn’t sit in front of you in a bowl begging to be eaten in one sitting!
I am so honored to have the fabulous Keala from Recipe For A Sweet Life guest blogging today on Espresso Ever After. She has an absolutely adorable and tasty Halloween treat to share.
Without further adue… take it away Keala!
When you make this recipe, be ready for your home to be filled with the true smells of fall; sugar and spice and everything nice. It is beyond fabulous!
Now that the sweet fall chill is in the air, it’s time for some cookie baking! I love this oatmeal cookie recipe because of my super sweet ingredient surprise; butterscotch. Now, I recognize that “Butterscotch” doesn’t exactly make most people begin salivating, but the right amount in the right recipe can be magical! It is the perfect surprise ingredient. If you are simply not a butterscotch person, then feel free to get creative with your add-in items and switch it up with chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, nuts, raisins, or even cinnamon chips. Since it is fall, I also sprinkled in a little splash of fall colors with edible confetti leaves. This cookie is an easy bake, full of fall love and will be enjoyed by everyone. My kids and husband approve!
{I am CRUSHing on this Pumpkin Float… It is bubbling over with eerie-orange goodness.}
Every October I love to make yummy goodies and enjoy hands-on and spooky activities with my girls. This simple and delicious twist on the classic ice cream float recipe is a perfect way to enjoy the excitement of October with your kiddos. It also makes for a delicious drink to serve at your upcoming holiday party.
If you have been following along with me on a regular basis you have probably realized by now that occasionally I’ll provide my viewers with a recipe. And if you’ve been paying close attention, I only share recipes that meet the following criteria: Must be easy to make, must require minimal ingredients, must be mom approved, and must be loved by kids! As a bonus, I love sharing recipes that allow the little ones to help out in the kitchen. With that being said, this is another recipe you will love!
I recently realized that my daughter is ALWAYS hungry for a snack when she gets home from school. I wanted to provide her with something yummy and on the healthy side, so that is how this recipe came to life. My Peanut Butter Banana Dippers are super tasty and they allow you to get creative & have some fun with your kiddos. For this recipe I like to bring out a roll of craft paper and lay it out across our kitchen island, and let me little chef get a little messy! It is a fun way to turn snack-time into craft-time as well!

3 Ingredient – Pumpkin Spice Treat Bars
If I have to be honest, a chocolate chip cookie made from scratch… has got to be one of my favorite snacks in the world! When I have the time, I truly enjoy baking them and I am always prepared for the opportunity by keeping the ingredients on hand and ready to go at moments notice. Getting to use my KitchenAid mixer, licking the bowl and the amazing smell that fills my home as they are baking… priceless. I wasn’t raised with a secret family recipe that was passed down from generation to generation, but I was raised on the classic chocolate chip cookie recipe that can be conveniently found on the back of a bag of chocolate chips… and to this day it is still my favorite! The recipe is convenient, simple and easy to follow and DELICIOUS!
Disclaimer: Please know that I am not an expert or a certified chef, nor do I have a cooking show, but I want to share with you the few changes, additions and secrets I use to make every cookie I make, taste even better!
I am a berry loving girl so I usually find every way possible to add fruit to the meals I make.
While we were on vacation in Idaho we stayed with friends and they introduced us to homemade biscuits and homemade strawberry jam… I WAS IN HEAVEN! It was at that moment that I realized that homemade jam… is my JAM! The day after we got home from Idaho I bought all of the needed ingredients and started making my own jam… and ever since we put jam on just about everything. I will even go so far as to plan our meals around ways to serve it. Obsessed much? Sorry not sorry!
Here is a simple recipe for making jam and believe me it is well worth it! Surprise your loved ones with homemade jam and they will be so impressed that they may even offer to do the dishes!? The amazing taste will make them believe you slaved away in the kitchen all day, when little do they know, it only took you 20 minutes to make and it didn’t even require stove top cooking! Now that is my kinda jam!
My daughter is back to school and that means I’m back to packing daily lunches! I’m always looking for a new item to send with her to school, but all items have to meet these rules: easy to make, delicious to eat and no nuts (school rule). This Pizza Dippers recipe is perfect! It’s a no-mess way for the kiddos to eat pizza and have fun dipping in the red marinara sauce. There is no better compliment than your little one coming home from school with an empty lunchbox because they LOVED what you packed for them, because let’s face it… preschoolers are picky eaters!
