When my oldest daughter, Paisley, was 4 months old, I got this crazy idea to take photos of her in a tub of candy corn. Don’t ask, I have no idea!… But to this day, those photos definitely have a “sweet” spot in my heart. So of course, I had to reenact this photo-shoot with Payton, when she was 7 months old and yet again for Kensie who is now 6 months old. Each photo shoot has it’s own personalized touch, and it is so much fun to see their “sweet” personalities shine through.
One thing I learned through the years of doing this photo shoot is that the older the baby, the “sweeter” their sweet tooth! At 7 months old, Payton already had a desire for all things yummy and we had a heck of a time keeping the candy out of her mouth, where Paisley and Kensie just thought they were surrounded by toys to play with.
Without further ado, enjoy these SCRUMPTIOUSLY ADORABLE photos!

This candy corn photo-shoot is very easy to recreate. To make the candy corn headband, I bought three pieces of felt: white, orange and yellow. I cut the felt pieces into the triangle shape and hot-glued them onto a stretchy white headband.
I bought between 6 and 8 bags of candy corn for each of these photo shoots and filled up the same clear beverage tub for the girls to sit in. I left their diapers on and did my best to completely cover that area with candy corn, so you can’t see it in the photos.

There is nothing better than a good photo-op!
You can have so much fun taking photos with different holiday goodies. I encourage you to get creative, grab your camera and capture your kiddos doing something fun and memorable!!!
*Disclaimer* : Keep a watchful eye on your little one’s when recreating this photo shoot. They may want to eat all of your candy corn props when you are not looking, or better yet they might pee or poop in them. I don’t recommend eating the candy corn after. 🙂
Happy Candy Corn Month!
