Positively Prepared | Back to School Gift Basket

Back To School

My sweet four year old just started preschool which is such an exciting time in our home, but it also means… GERMS!!! I consider myself a prepared mama so I always have these remedies on hand and ready to go; Children’s TYLENOL® and Children’s MOTRIN® for my daughter… and of course Extra Strength TYLENOL® for me!  Thanks to these go-to products, I am ready for school season ahead, which inevitably comes with some aches and pains… for both of us.

Have you noticed that sickness seems inevitable in the busy and messy life of KIDS?… I swear it feels like I come down with about 50% of the sicknesses my kids bring home.  As many of you know, a busy momma doest have time to be down and out… and with Extra Strength TYLENOL®, we don’t have to be! I love that my kids LOVE the great tasting flavors of both Children’s MOTRIN® (available as Bubble Gum, Grape and Berry flavors) and Children’s TYLENOL® (available as Cherry Blast and Grape flavors).  With these flavors, what kiddo wouldn’t enjoy a dose when needed?!

Let’s face it, we are all busy and running in a million directions trying to keep life and everything in it organized… Mommin’ ain’t easy, especially when minor aches and pains creep in!  So that is why I keep all of my go-to products in an easy to grab travel bag that I found at Target.  This cute bag keeps my products together so than we can stay on the go and not miss a beat.  And let’s be real, it’s hard to misplace, lose, or forget a neon bag like this one!

I don’t know about you, but sending your little one back to school or to school for the first time brings out many emotions: excitement for their future, happiness to enjoy a little mommy break and sadness while watching our babies grow up… WAY TOO FAST!  Well I have put together a cute way to brighten the day of that special mommy friend in your life.  Make her a “Mommy’s Back-to-School Gift Basket”.  Fill it with all of the goodies she will need to handle her kiddos going to school; coffee, an inspirational notebook, decorative pencils, as well as Children’s TYLENOL®, Children’s MOTRIN®, and Extra Strength TYLENOL® for when those tough stretches come!  Remember, it’s not just the kids that need back-to-school gear this year!  Here is how to put this simple mommy gift basket together.

Creating your “Mommy’s Back-to-School Gift Basket”

For those of you that know me, you know that step #1 starts with a trip to your local Target – definitely one of my favorite places to shop; my paradise chalked full of creativity and great prices!

When picking out a basket, look for one that fits your theme and one big enough to hold all of the items you are gifting in it.  I found this fabulous ruler basket in Bullseye’s Playground at the front of the store.  This section is always filled with great items that match the season; right now it is filled with back to school goodies.

I also always recommend buying crinkle paper shred – basket filler, not just for looks, but to hold the items in their place.  Target offers multiple colors to choose from.

Every good basket needs a few fun items to bring in your theme and color scheme.  Since this basket is filled with needed items to bring on the new school year, I also filled it with mommy-approved, decorative pencils, an inspirational notebook and of course COFFEE!

How cute is this?? I also bought that orange Goodies bag at Target because, duh, $3. I didn’t know what to do with it until now. I really really could use one of these gift baskets right about now, lol. My son starts school on Monday. Praise Jesus!

I love that you added my favorite coffee. Around here, coffee is a must for any day, but especially back to school season! #client
