It’s June… so that means wedding season is in full swing and wedding bells are ringing! Warning, I might be a little bias because I am a June bride… and if you don’t believe me just turn on the Hallmark channel, June is wedding movie month. 🙂
Since I just celebrated my anniversary… weddings are on my mind. So I wanted to share with all of you wedding-goers one of my favorite go-to wedding gifts. It is super simple to make and always a hit with the bride and groom. I adore personalized gifts, so this gift is a good mixture of practical and creative. With the help of 6 unique items you can pull off this cute gift-basket style wedding or shower gift.
The Perfect Wedding Gift
The first item you need is a decorative basket that the couple can use in their home. For this gift, I picked out a fabric basket, but you could always get creative and buy a metal pail or a wicker basket as well. When you are picking out your basket, make sure to find one that is a big enough size to hold all of your goodies.
Now the fun begins… filling it up! Since coffee mugs are all the rage, I picked out two ‘his and hers’ style mugs from a local boutique in Phoenix, AZ: Urabana. (If you don’t live in AZ, feel free to shop their online shop, it’s full of so many goodies!) Click HERE and HERE for similar mug options! These mugs all scream ‘NEWLYWEDS’!
If your happy couple doesn’t drink caffeine, switch out the mugs for personalized beer mugs, wine glasses or a combination of both. There are so many cute option’s out there.
To add a touch of class, I also like to add the couple’s favorite bag of coffee, but depending on what kind of glassware you pick, match it with a provided drink; a nice bottle of wine, champagne or beer, etc.
One last touch, I found ‘Mr. & Mrs.’ monogramed hand towels for a cute bridal touch. You could also replace these towels with monogramed t-shirts, beach towels or even tea towels.
To finish off the basket I also use crinkle cut basket filler. This product also helps hold the items in their place. I also added a chalkboard label, in lieu of a card. Minor changes that add a very simple and adorable look!
Make your gift the one that the happy couple remembers for years to come!
