5 Days of Super Bowl Snack Recipes
With Super Bowl right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to share 5 different game-day snack recipes that are crowd favorites. I know how hard it can be to think of new and tasty appetizers to bring to gatherings, so I wanted to help you out! Today I am sharing my Pizza Muffins with you. This recipe will be a TOUCHDOWN with your guests!
Day 4:
Pepperoni, Ham & Pineapple PIZZA MUFFINS
Ingredients: (This recipe yields 12 pizza muffins)
-Pepperoni’s (18)
-Pizza Sauce (3/4 cup)
-Finely Shredded Italian Cheese Blend (3/4 cup)
-1 can of Pizza Crust (Pillsbury Refrigerated Classic Pizza Crust)
-Pineapple chunks (4 oz.)
-3 slices of deli ham
-1 Jar of Litehouse Jalapeño Ranch (Found in the cold salad section of the grocery store.)
-Circle cookie cutter or cup / rolling pin
-12 count muffin pan / cooking spray
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees and spray the muffin pan with cooking spray.
2. Open the can of pizza dough and allow it to come to room temperature. Use a rolling pin (or the palms of your hands) to roll it into a thin layer. Using either your circle cookie cutter or the mouth of a clean cup, cut circles out of the dough. The circles should be slightly bigger than the size of the muffin cup.
3. Using your fingers, press the dough into the muffin cups.
4. Place a pepperoni at the bottom of each muffin cup. *This step is crucial and will prevent it from getting soggy. It really works! (Thank you tablespoon.com – great tip!)
5. Fill each pizza dough cup with 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce (on top of the pepperoni).
6. Add 1 tablespoon of Italian cheese blend.
7. Toppings: Cut the remaining 12 pieces of pepperoni in half and place 2 slices on each pizza muffin, followed by the pineapple chunks and small pieces of deli ham. Try to spread these 3 toppings out evenly on each muffin so that every bite has one of the 3 flavors.
8. Bake 15-18 minutes, depending on your oven. Cook until dough is golden brown, and the cheese is melted and deliciously bubbly on top.
9. Serve warm out of the oven, with a side of jalapeño ranch dipping sauce.
This jalapeño ranch dipping sauce is the way to my husband’s heart! In all seriousness, it makes this recipe extra delicious!
