5 Days of Super Bowl Snack Recipes
With Super Bowl right around the corner I thought it would be fun to share 5 different game-day snack recipes that are crowd favorites. I know how hard it is to think of new and tasty appetizers to bring to gatherings so I wanted to help you out! Today I am sharing my Cheese Tortellini Caprese Kabobs with you. This recipe should be a TOUCHDOWN with your guests!
Day 3:
Cheese Tortellini Caprese Kabobs
Ingredients: (This recipe yields 24 kabobs)
-24 Grape Tomatoes
-1 small package of cheese tortellini (24 pieces of tortellini are needed for this recipe.)
-24 Fresh Basil leaves
-24 Mozzarella Cheese Balls (Or you can purchase a package of Mozzarella Cheese Sticks and cut each cheese stick into 4-5 pieces.)
-1 package of bamboo wooden skewers (Select a package that has a minimum of 24 sticks included.)
-8 oz. jar of pesto
-Balsamic Glaze (It must be the glaze, not a balsamic vinaigrette.)
Directions:
1. Cook/Boil the package of cheese tortellini per the instructions on the package; let the tortellini’s cool for 30 minutes.
2. Once the tortellini’s have cooled, start creating the kabobs. On each of the 24 skewers, alternate each item. One piece of cheese, one basil leaf, one tomato and finish it off with one tortellini; place on a serving plate.3. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over kabobs before serving.
4. For an extra delicious touch, pour the pesto into a serving bowl as a dipping sauce. YUMMY!
