5 Days of Super Bowl Snack Recipes
With Super Bowl right around the corner I thought it would be fun to share 5 different game-day snack recipes that are crowd favorites! I know how hard it is to think of new and tasty appetizers to bring to gatherings so I wanted to help you out. These recipes should be a TOUCHDOWN with your guests!
Day 1:
CROCKPOT – Cheddar Lit’l Smokies & Meatballs
Ingredients: (You only need 4 ingredients and 5 minutes to prep – Winner!)
-1 Crockpot
-16 oz. bag of frozen fully cooked meatballs (This package size yields about 26 meatballs.)
-13 oz. package of lit’l smokies (I prefer Hilshire Farm – Cheddar Lit’l Smokies-Smoke Sausage with Cheddar Cheese. This package size yields about 35 Lit’l Smokies.)
-20 oz. jar of grape jelly (I prefer Welch’s Concord Grape Jelly.)
-20 oz. jar of BBQ sauce (I prefer Famous Dave’s BBQ Sauce-Rich and Sassy Original Recipe.
-Your choice: wooden skewers, toothpicks, mini-forks, mini rolls … or offer all options. 🙂
Directions:
1. Pour all 4 ingredients (Lit’l Smokies, Meatballs, BBQ Sauce & Grape Jelly) into the crockpot and stir to combine and evenly distribute the sauce.
2. Cook on HIGH for 3 HOURS
3. Provide your guests the opportunity to enjoy the meatballs and lit’l smokies on skewers, toothpicks, mini-forks, or (my favorite option) serve with a platter of mini rolls for the opportunity to make mini smokie/meatball sandwiches.
