Our holiday season was filled with family, fun memories and exciting events… but I must say I am still exhausted. I feel like I am finally getting caught up on normal life and actually getting around to cleaning the house. Yikes! #thestruggleisreal
I took some time to look back on all of the fun we had with our two littles, and I am so thankful for our first holiday season as a family of four. Enjoy a photo {recap} of some of our festive holiday memories.
Christmas Season started the day after Thanksgiving for us, with listening to Christmas music and decorating the house. It was so much fun sharing Christmas spirit with the girls! CLICK HERE to see more details on how we decorated this year.
While my brother and his family were in town visiting, we took the cousins to a fun snowy event. A company brought in a mound of snow for the kids to play in, and it was so much fun bundling them up for the snow… even though it was 75 degrees outside.
Paisley loved sitting on the stage and singing her favorite Christmas songs at her Preschool Christmas Pageant. It was a proud mommy moment for me, watching her sparkle on the stage.
Once again… Payton was not a fan of Santa. CLICK HERE to see this year’s Santa visit at Bass Pro Shop.
Christmas Lights Boat Parade. It was a chilly night on the water enjoying our little ones shrieking with excitement, as they watched the boats float by. It was a very unique experience and we are thankful to have shared it with great friends.

We had too much fun with our holiday-themed photo props and our selfie stick!
Our early Christmas celebration began in the cold country. It was a chilly and snowy weekend away. CLICK HERE to also see our snow-much-fun photos from the weekend.

Christmas on Comstock – Winner of ABC’s The Great Christmas LightFight. It was so festive and lovely walking down Gilbert’s Comstock Drive and enjoying the spectacular light display. CLICK HERE to see the winning details!
Christmas Eve (Eve) Service at our church. Such a cute touch… they had a fun photo booth set up to document the night! LOVE!
Christmas Eve Celebrations. Every year we celebrate Christmas Eve with my family by attending Christmas Eve Service, followed by dinner to celebrate my mom’s birthday. My mom is one blessed lady to share her bday with Christmas Eve, she is always surrounded by loved ones.
Paisley’s first year setting out cookies and goodies for Santa and his reindeer. Such a sweet tradition.

After how busy the month had been, Christmas day was very calm, thank goodness! It was filled with delicious food and lots of family time!
This was the year of the “Barbie” for our 3 year old. Santa brought her a Barbie house and a Barbie family to match her own… too funny!
We rang in the New Year with our bible study small group. It was a fun night of yummy goodies, fun games and LOTS of laughter!
That’s a wrap!
The new year is here and all the Christmas decor has been put away! What a great year it was, we are already excited for Christmas 2016, I just need a little recovery time. 🙂
I hope you all had a great holiday season! Question …were your Christmas and New Year’s Eve festivities just as busy? I would love to hear about all of the fun you had, please share your stories in the comment section below.
