Today’s Outside The Frame : Blog Link-up topic is all about God’s Word. I have the honor of sharing my favorite MEMORY VERSE with you, something that is near and dear to my heart.
I am in a season of life right now where I am living in organized chaos, and I am finally comfortable enough to admit that it’s OKAAAAAAY! I have a hubby that is hard at work, two little ones running around messing up the place and then of course working from home and trying to fit my job in-between meals and nap-time isn’t always the easiest task… Not to mention ‘working on my fitness’ (she’s my witness… thanks Fergie-Ferg!)! Life has gone from normally busy to absolutely crazy in 2.0 seconds. BUT, I am so grateful to be where I am, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Today’s Outside The Frame : Blog Link-up topic is all about LOVE LANGUAGES and sharing about how I personally feel most loved. This is a perfect February topic … the topic of Love!
Incase you are not familiar with the 5 love languages, they are:
Words of Affirmation – Acts of Service – Receiving Gifts – Quality Time – Physical Touch
I have read and studied the 5 love languages multiple times through pre-marital counseling, church and different small groups, but I always seem to come to the same conclusion: I struggle to classify myself into a single category. In fact, I am a strong mixture of a few languages at all times, but my season of life often dictates which love language I ascribe to.
Today is Day 1 • January 2016 has arrived!!! I am so excited to see what this new year has in store. My goals for the year are to: continue making magical memories with my girls, spend more quality time with my amazing hubby and work on making me … a better me … spiritually, physically, mentally & emotionally! What a blessing to wake up every morning with His mercy’s new.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
My walk with the Lord is the most important thing to me, so why does it always take the backseat when life gets busy? I find myself making excuses, instead of letting God direct my day. I have noticed that when I’m not in the word, I am not the best wife, mom, friend, sister or daughter that God has created me to be. Knowing that about myself, I decided to make it a point to give God my quiet-time in the mornings, while the girls are sleeping. What I have noticed since doing so, is that life is so much better with God on the forefront of my mind. I am more patient with my girls, more eager to serve others and I seem to be more productive with my time. Through this journey I have found that the best way to dive into His word is with the assistance of a great devotional.
I was recently encouraged to take time for… ME! I know this might seem silly, but when you are a mom juggling all of life’s responsibilities, this is something that can easily slip through the cracks. As moms, we care so much for our families that
sometimes most times, SELF is the last thing we think about. Yes, we did choose to be moms, and of course we love it, but it is important to remember that we can’t be great moms unless we take care of us too!
One way we can take care of us is to take back Nap-Time!
